Pastels on the Plaza
River Oak Charter School sponsors Pastels on the Plaza. This annual community event brings together art, live performances, local businesses, and good food to Alex Thomas Plaza in a celebration of the arts and community.
The artists creative expression is at the heart of this beautiful and treasured community celebration. Our Pastels team will reach out to you and pair you with a local sponsor to create a unique piece of art in recognition of their support to River Oak Charter School.
Pastels on the Plaza will be on Saturday October 10th, 2026 and is open to the public from 9:30am to 2pm. Artist check-in begins at 8am at the Plaza. Please arrive no later than 10am without prior communication. Pastels, water, and breakfast are provided for 1 artist per 3’x3’ space. Please bring any additional materials desired (brushes, spray bottles, muffin tin or small cups for mixing colors, knee pads, etc.). Artists are encouraged to sign their work.
Thank you for your support in making this event a success. We look forward to working with you. For questions, please contact [email protected]
