Bona Marketplace will feature Kristina Cavender with her series of paintings “Pure Love” where Kristina reminds us in her art that we are surrounded by love in every living thing. She has hidden the phrase I love you 109 times in each painting to make it fun and interactive to find them. We will be entertained with music by Jerry Rubio with his new sound system. The Grace Hudson Museum – 10/2, from 5-8 PM

The Grace Hudson Museum presents their latest exhibition, Deep Valley: People, Places, Memory, which explores many elements of the Greater Ukiah Valley — past and present — that have helped create and shape this community. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Grace Hudson Museum and the 150th anniversary of the City of Ukiah.
Musical guests will be jazz musicians Pierre Archain on upright bass and Greg Hester on keyboards performing an eclectic range of jazz music from bebop to more contemporary styles. The Mendocino College Pop-Up Gallery will feature spooky ceramic works by Sylvia Fogle alongside decalcomania collage pieces by ART 213 Color + Composition students.
The Mendocino College Makerspace will host the Ceramics Club with a FREE interactive tile project. Completed tiles will become part of a permanent ceramic mural scheduled to be installed on the new Mendocino College building in Willits.

MEDIUM Art Center – 10/2, from 5-8 PM
Location: 110 S. School Street, Ukiah
Medium Art Center invites the community to the opening reception of Things That Go Bump in the Night, a juried group art exhibition generously underwritten by HydroPacific.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet many of the exhibiting artists, explore the exhibition, and celebrate another month of community art at Medium. DJ Jackie Moon will spin vinyl throughout the evening. Wine is donated by Saracina Vineyards, with light refreshments on hand. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on display Oct. 2 through Nov. 3, 2026.

Corner Gallery Ukiah “80 Revolutions Around the Sun” by Polly Palecek
Featuring local artist Polly Palecek’s latest collection of oil paintings plus a perspective of her extensive creative history. Polly invites members of the community to her 80th birthday.
Young Artist Wall: A student of Ukiah High School Advanced Photography class, Daniel Montoya exhibits his photographs. MCAA Pony Wall: Katie Gibbs, metal works. Gary Wallaert, wood works and Karen Wallaert paintings east pony wall. Jill Millward, paintings and ceramic works north pony wall. Ursula Partch felting and paper sculpture, south pony wall.
Live music will be presented throughout the evening by Chris Gibson on guitar. Regular gallery hours are 11am-5pm Tuesday thru Saturday.
Art Center Ukiah Presents “Textures”
October 2026 Art Center Ukiah presents “Textures,” a tactile experience or implied experience. Tactile texture, refers to the patterns of variations found on a solid surface having a physical quality that can be felt by touching the surface. Implied texture or refractive is optical illusion of a textured surface on a flat, two-dimensional piece. The surface is smooth, but the artist uses lines, shading, color or photography to make it look like a tactile object. Local artist show works of a variety of materials and textures. Ukiah Branch Library – 10/2, from 5-7 PM
Location: 105 N. Main Street, Ukiah
“People & Places”: Works by Cottie Morrison & Janet Rosen + Music by Stephen Winkle
The library will feature a mixed media and oil painting show by local artists Cottie Morrison and Janet Rosen. While working separately in their studios, longtime friends Morrison and Rosen have each created evocative portraiture that invites the viewer to join the subject’s interior world.
The branch will host live music by Stephen Winkle and a workshop on graphite tracing for quick portraits led by Janet Rosen. Guests can shop at the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library book sale.
