Art Walk Ukiah on November 6th from 5-8 PM
Au Garage
Location: 143 A Clara “The Alley,” Ukiah
Check out Art Walk’s latest venue from 5-8 PM: Au Garage, featuring paintings by Robert Perkins. Perkins blends sweeping gestures, botanical forms, and hints of the human figure with sharp lines and geometric shapes. Color adds depth and tension, pulling the eye between the foreground and background. He describes this looping motion as “a snake chasing its own tail.” Perkins has lived, worked, and painted in San Francisco for over 40 years. He studied painting and printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, graduating in 1991. He later worked as an artist assistant at Crown Point Press, Limestone Press, Garner Tullis Studio, and The Anderson Collection.
Enjoy light refreshments and wine by Trinafour Cellars. Au Garage is a pop-up in Ukiah as an art space and event center, dedicated to the fringe, the peripheral and the experimental.

Ukiah Branch Library @ 5-7 PM
Location: 105 N. Main Street, Ukiah
The library will feature an oil painting show by longtime Mendocino County resident, Dennis Fleming.
Fleming’s interest in art has been lifelong, with a fascination of the visual representation of life through mark making. After heading to North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains in 2020 to seek refuge from the pandemic, Fleming found inspiration in the beauty and sylvan wonder of the region. After a 30-year hiatus from making art, he cemented his commitment to his once abandoned dream of painting upon his return to Mendocino County. Fleming’s art is a representation of his journey of focus and reconciliation.
The branch will host live music by the Artful Codger and an all-ages mini landscape creative program. Guests can shop at the robust book sale hosted by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library. This art exhibition is free to the public, open to all ages, and is sponsored by the kind and generous support of the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library and Mendocino County Library. The art exhibition runs November 4 to December 23.
