“People & Places”: Works by Cottie Morrison & Janet Rosen

The Ukiah Branch Library invites the community to join us for our Art Walk opening on Friday, October 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. The library will feature a mixed media and oil painting show by local artists Cottie Morrison and Janet Rosen. “People and Places” is an art show by longtime friends Morrison and Rosen. While working separately in their studios, they have each created evocative portraiture that invites the viewer to join the subject’s interior world. The landscapes and interiors are just as important to the portrait as to how the subject is rendered.
The branch will host live music by Stephen Winkle and a workshop on graphite tracing for quick portraits led by Janet Rosen. During the Art Walk opening, guests can shop at the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library book sale.
This art exhibition is free to the public, open to all ages, and is sponsored by the kind and generous support of the Mendocino County Library and the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library.
