LOBA Poetry Series Featuring Carrie Hunter
LOBA POETRY SERIES Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic Saturday, July 18 at 3 PM Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On Saturday, July 18, we welcome Carrie Hunter. Hunter received her MFA/MA in the Poetics program at New College of California, was in the Black Radish Books publishing collective, and edited the chapbook press, ypolita press. Her most recent full-length collection of poems is “The Flow of the Poem’s Display of Itself” (Roof Books, 2025). She also has books out with Nightboat and Black Radish Books. Her latest chapbook is “Eva (not Eve)”, which came out with Antiphony in early 2026. She lives in San Francisco and teaches ESL.
