ART WALK UKIAH
The Assemblage Art of Jo-Ann Rosen
The Sparkle & Song of Things
Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM
The Ukiah Branch Library invites the community to join us for our Art Walk opening on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. The library will feature an assemblage show by local artist Jo-ann Rosen.
Assemblage is a style of art made by bringing together disparate elements. Vintage or everyday objects are repurposed by the artist and given a second life through their artistic assembly. Rosen believes every object has history, integrity, and charm. Fascinated by the patina of stories that each object harbors, Rosen sees the items she works with as a collaboration of causes and conditions, creating an awe-inspiring microcosm of how our world dances.
The Branch will host live music by Clay Hawkins. During the Art Walk opening, guests can enjoy an all-ages matchbook altar craft program and a robust book sale hosted by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library. This art exhibition is free to the public, open to all ages, and is sponsored by the kind and generous support of the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library and Mendocino County Library. The exhibit runs January 6, 2026, through February 26, 2026.
