LOBA POETRY SERIES
Featuring Devreaux Baker
Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 3 PM

Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On February 21, we present a special reading to commemorate publication of “Spirit of Place: Mendocino County Women Poets Anthology” with readings from Mendocino County Poet Laureate, Devreaux Baker and contributors.

Baker is the inaugural Poet Laureate of Mendocino County and a recipient of the PEN/Oakland Josephine Miles Poetry Award for her book “Red Willow People.” Her work has been published in many journals and literary magazines. She is Editor-in-Chief of “Spirit of Place: Mendocino County Women Poets Anthology” and was producer of the Voyagers Radio Program of Original Student Writing for KZYX Public Radio with a grant from the California Arts Council. She has facilitated workshops and taught poetry and creative writing in many venues, including public schools, and directed national and international poetry workshops.

Please contact the Ukiah Branch Library at 707-463-4490 or [email protected] for more information.
