ART WALK UKIAH
Charles Montgomery: Art Lover-Art Maker
Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM

The Ukiah Branch Library invites the community to join us for our Art Walk openings on Friday, March 6 and Friday, April 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. The library will feature an acrylic on canvas show by local artist, Charles Montgomery.

Montgomery is an art lover who has become an art maker. His breadth of work features colorful and stylized portraits of people and animals, often with a stroke of humor. Montgomery pays homage to some of the masters, including Van Gogh, Matisse, and O’Keefe; and his longtime love of music and jazz are a recurring motif. Montgomery says the precious rewards to practicing his craft are freedom and fun.

On March 6 the library will host live music by Will Siegel’s Mendocino Jazz Collective and on April 3, live harp music by Suni Robin. During the Art Walk openings, guests can enjoy an allages tiny canvas craft and a robust book sale hosted by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library.

This art exhibition is free to the public, open to all ages, and is sponsored by the kind and generous support of the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library and Mendocino County Library. The exhibit runs March 6 to April 30.
