Looking for a writing community? Do you have children’s stories floating in your head you’d love to get published? Join children’s authors and writing instructors, Natasha Yim & Jin Ro Shi, in a six-week kidlit writing course where you’ll learn and practice the craft of creating stories for children. Each class will focus on lessons around plot structure, visual storytelling, character development, Voice, point of view and will expand the learning through interactive activities. One entire class will be devoted to workshopping your own stories. The kidlit community in Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma Counties is relatively small and spread out, so come learn, engage, and connect with your fellow writers and storytellers. We’ll also have 3 guest speakers: children’s illustrator, Annie Rugyt; Editor and educator, Terri Nicholson; and Adult and Young Adult novelist Jody Gehrman.
