LOBA POETRY SERIES
Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic
Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3 PM
Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On January 17, 2026, we welcome Sonoma County Poet Laureate, Dave Seter.
Seter is a poet, nature writer and essayist, and the author of the full-length poetry collection, “Don’t Sing to Me of Electric Fences” (Cherry Grove Collections, 2021), and the chapbooks “Somewhere West of the Mississippi” (Mammoth Publications, 2025) and “Night Duty” (Main Street Rag, 2010). Educated as a civil engineer, he writes about social and environmental issues, including the intersection of the built world and natural world. He has been an Affiliate Artist at the Headlands Center for the Arts and has served on the Board of Directors of Marin Poetry Center. He has been named Sonoma County Poet Laureate 2024-2026.
