Deep Valley Arts is pleased to announce its February art exhibition, “Sanctuaries of Color,” which will open at MEDIUM Art Gallery in Ukiah and be on display from February 7th through March 1st, 2025.
Starting this year, Deep Valley Arts will host quarterly exhibitions at MEDIUM Art Gallery in Ukiah, spotlighting emerging, mid-career, and established artists through solo shows that celebrate experimental, boundary-breaking work and a deep dedication to their artistic practice.
“Sanctuaries of Color” is the first solo exhibition of 2025, highlighting the work of artist Jessica Hernández. Hernández is a multifaceted artist fueled by a profound passion for visual arts. The focus of the “Sanctuaries of Color” exhibition is on realism. The pieces feature recognizable images of both interior and exterior spaces, capturing the unique atmospheres they evoke. Some works are developed from photographs the artist has taken and subsequently modified, while others are derived from studies of 3D models. Hernández experiments with lighting, backgrounds, and color palettes—often employing contrasting colors—to craft a compelling visual narrative.
Opening Reception: First Friday Art Walk: Friday, February 7th, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Beverages and light refreshments available. Wine provided by Saracina Vineyards.
Music: Jessica and her friends will be creating a unique music experience for the show’s opening entertainment.
