Almost-Fringe Festival ( All Day )

Loosely based on the international Fringe Art movement, this month-long festival will celebrate all the arts happening in April 2017 within the main travel corridors of Mendocino County. Festival will include musical performances, arts for the senses, art creation marathon and more! These dates are for Gualala, Point Arena, and Manchester.  Details will be posted at a later date. Other dates offered for other locations in the County.

Acoustic Guitar Workshop ( 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm )

Right Hand Power Picking with Master Guitarist & Mel Bay Author at Yoga Mendocino, 206 Mason Street.  This 3 hour workshop will be a total immersion in several right hand picking and strumming techniques that can bring new life and rhythm to your guitar playing.  Workshop is limited to first 20 students.  Tickets available at Dig!Music, Mendocino Book Company.

UkiaHaiku Festival ( 2:00 pm )

The 15th Annual Ukiahaiku Festival is a celebration and competition devoted to the Haiku form of poetry.  Postmark deadline for Haiku competition is March 17, 2017.  For details look online. The celebration will take place at the Ukiah Civic Center, 300 Seminary Ave., Ukiah.

Mendocino College Recording Arts & Technology Club ( 6:00 pm )

Artist-In-Residence Program Presents the Trio of: Scott Nygaard, John Reischman and Sharon Gilchrist.  Tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets, Dig! Music and Mendocino Book Company.  There will also be a workshop on June 1 free and open to the public from 3-6 pm.

About Visit Ukiah

The Visit Ukiah Program is spreading the news about the Ukiah Valley. Funded by the lodging tax from local hotels and managed by a seven member advisory group with local representatives from the retail, wine, hotel, tourism, and art sectors, the program is responsible for marketing Ukiah as a destination for leisure vacations and business meetings to improve the City’s tax base and grow Ukiah’s stock in the State’s tourism industry.
