Situated in the heart of historic downtown Ukiah, the Ukiah Visitor Center has ample free parking, friendly and helpful staff and the information visitors need to make the most of their stay. From five star selections to charming under-the-stars alternatives – the Center's staff can help guide visitors toward their preferences and areas of interest. The Ukiah Visitor Center has free maps and visitor information available during all open hours and we have staff on hand to assist you, middays, Monday through Saturday.

    Parking

    Downtown Ukiah has a variety of parking spaces offering customers short and long-term affordable parking.
    Customer Parking - All non-permit public parking on State, Main and School Streets is FREE, but there are time-restricted zones.
    Electric Vehicle Charging - One public electric vehicle-charging station is located in parking lot A. Cars that do not use charging stations are not allowed to park in this space. There is a Tesla charging station in the lot next to the intersection of School and Clay streets, right downtown.
    Weekend Parking - On weekends, unrestricted (no time limit) parking is available throughout the downtown.

    Weather

    Time and time again, you'll ask someone who has relocated to Ukiah why they decided to move here, and you'll hear the response, “the weather.” Many visitors cannot believe how many completely beautiful days Ukiah enjoys year round. We bask in 300 days of sunshine, blessed with a mild, dry climate and four distinctly beautiful seasons. Very low humidity means that even when temperatures rise, summer is always comfortable, and our sunny winters are comparatively mild. We hope your experience in Ukiah is nothing short of ideal, and odds are that you will get a clear sunny day and perfect weather.

     

    Pet Friendly

    Ukiah loves animals. Bring your best friend and you’re sure to find hotels, restaurants, and activities to keep Fido’s tail wagging. Walkable downtown Ukiah has numerous four-legged play areas and convenience stations. For some exercise and fresh air, visit the dog park at Low Gap Park, which has drinking fountains and separate areas for large dogs and small or shy dogs.

    About Visit Ukiah

    The Visit Ukiah Program is spreading the news about the Ukiah Valley. Funded by the lodging tax from local hotels and managed by a seven member advisory group with local representatives from the retail, wine, hotel, tourism, and art sectors, the program is responsible for marketing Ukiah as a destination for leisure vacations and business meetings to improve the City’s tax base and grow Ukiah’s stock in the State’s tourism industry.
